I have been working on redecorating our main living area downstairs. I wanted something bright and fun without spending a lot. I am so happy with how it all turned out. I sold my old couch set on ksl for the same price I paid for my brand new set. I also bought that gorgeous coffee table on ksl for only $90. I have the matching sofa table and have wanted it for a while, but it was almost $400 at RC Willey's. Score! I spray painted like a mad woman and re-used several of my decor items I had already. I spent a little extra on the darling throw pillows from Target and Voila! the room is almost done. I painted the accent wall already but now I need to work on painting the same color under our chair rail. Another project for another day. I can't stand not to finish a big project within a day or two because I can't stand to look at it and I know with a new baby it might take me a good many days to finish so I think I will wait a bit longer to tackle it.
I am currently in love with yellow. It makes me feel bright and happy to look at it.
So I have this little table sitting around and I think a coat of yellow paint might be in it's near future.....................

Kade and my great-niece Timberlie
My niece and long time friend, Wendi, had a baby girl in January and so we took pictures of her and Kade together over the weekend. They are at that awkward stage for taking pictures so they weren't turning out very well. My sister suggested that we lay them down and take a picture of their faces pointed toward the camera looking at it side by side. Wendi and I are only 16 days apart in age and somewhere at sometime there was picture of us like this as babies. Haha. Timberlie and Kade couldn't hold up their heads well enough for a picture like that to work. We reviewed the picutes and had a good laugh when my sister said that in the first picture, their heads looked like a pair of boobies. To which my niece said that she hopes she never sees a pair that hairy!! Good times with my sister Tammy. She is the life of the party.
Our Garden 2010
This year we planted peas (so excited), cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, and about a zillion tomato plants. Also, we planted marigolds. Supposedly they will help with bugs? If not, at least they look nice. I still hope to plant squash and radishes this weekend.
I am thankful Adam takes care of this for me. I love to eat what we grow, but I don't think we would do a garden if it wasn't for him.
